Polly asked for a "What brings you joy card" and I really en-JOY-ed making this card for our sweet Gracie's Mom, Berniece. We share the joy of watching squirrels frolic. Our Oregon squirrels charm and perform all around us, including on the stump of a very old cedar tree, in our back yard, that we sadly lost a few years ago
More joys included in this card are: designing with personalization in mind, knowing I might bring an unexpected smile to someone, recycling materials, using something I've had a long time, fussy cutting and embossing, oh, and let's not forget the nuts....literally and sometimes figuratively.

Oh, Lori, that squirrel looks so pleased with his huge stash of nuts! My mom is going to love this wonderful card...looks just like the little guy that peeks in her window looking for nuts and cheese balls! As Polly said, "You bring joy to all of us!" Your card definitely made me smile and I know my mom will be smiling, too! Thank you and big HUGS!

So fun. Love your acorn-hoarding squirrel and all the "joys" you have added to this delight. I'm sure it will bring joy to Berniece as well as a big smile. Hugs.

That was a lot of cutting those acorns! A pile to keep the squirrel going through some hard times. I loved reading about the squirrels in your yard. I enjoy them when we go to the Botanic Gardens.

Lori I love your squirrel themed card and especially your recycling! It's really cool how you made the growth rings on your stump- it adds nice texture- a favorite!
