Karen is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and I am delighted to be playing again, although I did have a lovely, warm and sunny vacation for a couple of weeks. Did you miss me? I sure missed you!
Our colors this week are Flirty Flamingo, Petal Pink and Soft Seafoam, with the dessert option of Scallops. I started with a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock, on which I applied the three DOX colors using the three stencils in the set. I love this soft, sweet color combo; thank you, Karen! I went for double dessert, with scallops on the main panel and on the smaller greeting panel. I die-cut the greeting three times and stacked for dimension, and applied all to a base card of the neutral, Mossy Meadow. I added a few jewels that matched the Flirty Flamingo color pretty well, and my card was done.

We did miss you, Barbara! But, I'm glad you've had a sunny get-away. I love how you've made your background so soft and almost ethereal looking and then added the perfect amount of restrained boldness on your stacked greeting. What a beauty!

We did miss you. Welcome home. Glad you had a lovely vacation. Beautiful card. Love the stenciled background. It has a tropical feel. Perhaps it was inspired by that warm & sunny place. Very pretty. Terrific die-cut stacked sentiment. Fabulous inspiration for the challenge colors!

Lucky lucky lucky you to be away into the warmth. I've always thought that we up here in the frozen tundra should be given an all expenses paid trip to the warmth every year, about this time. It makes the winter go faster. Just kidding, I don't mind winter. Anyway, your card certainly was inspired by your getaway, lovely design and use of the colors.
