I had so much fun making this card, but it took me all day because I kept having to set it aside to dry. Polly's playing card challenge combined so perfectly with Angie's "It's a Guy Thing" challenge for my nephew's birthday card. He's turning 25, but he never outgrew Pokemon. I have a deck of playing cards in my craft room specifically for days like this. I grabbed two of them and painted them with acrylic paint. Then I stamped a script background over the paint. Then I applied some Paper Glaze through stencils. Then I painted yellow borders because Pokemon cards have yellow borders. I stamped the Charmander and the Pokeball, cut them out and colored them. I spread the leftover yellow paint over a piece of cardstock and used that as the base for the background which I just stamped all the Pokemons all over. I'm so thrilled with the way my Pokemon cards came out and I know Curtis will be too. But my kids are going to be so jealous.

This is FAB...love the Pokeman theme even for a 25 year old! Cute bg for your cards. I know what you mean about the drying time....I did mine over the course of a few hours...Thanks for playing!
This is so much fun! I spent a lot of money on Pokemon cards over the years! I used to spend hours playing with our son! Thanks for the fun reminder of those days! This is so fun! Your nephew will love this. I love that both challenges worked together so well!
