Update 4/2022: After making more than a dozen of these cards, I decided something was missing. I added a second metallic red cording double bow (on top of the tiny silver tree). I think that balances out the red a little better.
My goal this year is to make 5 Christmas cards each month so that I don't have to make all of my Christmas cards towards the end of the year when my little crafting business is the busiest. Besides, we still had snow on the ground today here in NE Georgia, so it was a perfect day for making a Christmas card!
Cut Soft Succulent cardstock to fit the front of a white A2 card. (To avoid wasting paper, die cut a couple of labels or other panels from the center part of the SS paper that will be hidden.) Adhere to card front. Cut Evening Evergreen panel slightly smaller than the Soft Succulent cardstock. (To avoid wasting paper, die cut a couple of labels or other panels from the center part of the EE paper that will be hidden.) Adhere over the center of the Soft Succulent panel.
Cut a panel of white cardstock slightly smaller than the Evening Evergreen panel. Emboss with the Timeworn Type embossing folder. Rub Versamark ink across the raised portions of the embossed panel; heat emboss using gold embossing powder; adhere over the center of the Evening Evergreen panel. Cut a thin strip of SU DSP in Evening Evergreen and adhere towards the bottom of the gold embossed panel.
Die cut trees from white, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, and metallic silver papers. For the Evening Evergreen tree, replace the die cut central pieces with white cardstock that was die cut using the same tree die. Dry emboss the largest Soft Succulent tree using the Tasteful Textile EF. Stamp the smaller Soft Succulent tree with the SU Stipple Plaid BG stamp using Soft Succulent ink. Stamp tree lines on the white tree with Evening Evergreen ink; when dry, stamp the dots stamp on the white tree using Versamark ink; heat emboss using gold embossing powder. Layer and adhere the trees on front of the card.
Die cut the word "joy" from red cardstock and adhere in the upper right corner of the card front. Tie a tiny double bow using metallic red cording. Adhere to the top of the tallest tree. Thanks to mickeyinpsj for the inspirations and TFL!
