I bought this image quite awhile back intending to make either a Valentine or Anniversary card for my hubby so this week's color challenge was the perfect opportunity to pull this out. And, I thought Hook would look quite dapper in these regal colors. Since he's a bit of a fancy dresser, I added Wink of Stella to his coat for a bit of satiny sheen. When I cut the card down, I still felt like it needed "something", so I die cut a mask and used a brush to watercolor the heart behind the sentiment, which is computer generated using Elephant and Gloss & Bloom fonts. The CP ink is a great match for Pacific Point blue, but I did have to water it down so it wouldn't obscure the printing. Hope that doesn't constitute a different color. Didn't have razzleberry paper, so I used Copic to edge a piece of cs. The panel is popped up on three pieces of cs.
I loved using a non-traditional palette on this Valentine card and I think my hubby will love this as blue is his fav color. Hope you get to play with your fav colors today too. TFL

this is a great image and I love how you colored him as well as the punny sentiment- the copic marker is a perfect match for the rich razzleberry color- what number is it?

Fabulous Valentine's Day card for your hubby. Love the way you've pulled these colours together - they aren't ones I would ever go pull out of the pile and say "ah, these are the ones!" but they do look great together. Love your computer generated sentiment. I'm a bit of a fontaholic so always love looking for new fonts. TFS

Wonderful image for the challenge colors! You did a fantastic job coloring the captain. Love the fun pun sentiment. The stenciled heart is an excellent touch. Fabulous masculine Valentine for your DH.
