Hi, this week for Watercolor Wednesday WCW085-Watercolor brushstrokes 2-Jan-12-2022 by Holstein at Splitcoaststampers we are painting leaves with Compound Strokes!
I thoroughly enjoyed the practice and I can't wait to paint more leaves! I actually preferred my first practice to my last but since I practiced single leaves right next to the branch, I couldn't make a card out of the first try. I need to remember that even practice sheets might end up being the best. What is funny is that the paper was my lowest grade!
Anyway... this painting was my third try and if I had lots of time, I would have painted it again. Not only do I think I can do better but I had so much fun painting that I would love to practice and practice!

Wonderful looking leaf spray - a perfect little C-shape for your branch and great placement of the leaves. I really like how you used the bit of stem sweeping it into the veining on your leaves. Awesomely true sentiment, too.

Oooh I love the sparkle the sequins add and your leaves look super. I know what you mean I feel like I could do this particular one over and over for fun.

I admire how lovely and evenly shaped your leaves are painted. You really developed beautiful strokes. This then developed into a wonderful card. Fav'd

Beautiful water coloring on this, Angie, and I love the added green sequins. Terrific sentiment to go with it all.

I love your beautiful leaves and the colors are delightful. I did a practice one where the leaves looked like the tutorial but it was very little and I didn't want to make a card with it. Then, I went haywire with clusters. Ha
