Since I have a free pack of heat activated foil, but no heat pen, I just used a ballpoint pen to draw/press on a purple foil sheet to create the veins -- worked like a charm and didn't rub off!
I got 4 pieces out of my completed background sheet, and this is the second card I made. The edges of the watercolor panel were sponged using Seedless Preserves, and the sentiment was stamped in the same ink. I liked how ruby-heartedmom added splatters to her card (DIY One Sheet Wonder Hello by ruby-heartedmom at Splitcoaststampers, so I gave it a try and used a splatter stamp with Seedless Preserves and a metallic silver ink (which sadly turned out to not be very shiny at all... mostly just gray). Since the background was very free-flowing, I decided to tear the edges of my sentiment instead of die-cutting a nice label, and I edged that panel in the silver ink. TFL!

Another beauty...I think I need a little explanation on the foil/ballpoint technique. Does the foil get trapped into the texture of the wc paper? Inquiring minds need to know.
