This birthday card was made for Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge #639. I don't often make super feminine cards, but decided this sketch was perfect for a flowery birthday card.
The base is Stampin' Up! (SU) Polish Pink, the mat is Soft Seafoam, and the pattern paper is two different designs in the "All My Love" Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack.
The sentiment was hot foiled using a rose colored Spellbinders foil with a Spellbinders "Happy Birthday" hot foil plate on my Spellbinders Glimmer machine. It was foiled on SU Soft Seafoam cardstock to pick up on the card front mat color. The scalloped pink mat was die cut, then the die and die cut shape was run through my Big Shot a second time using the embossing mat to make a more pronounced indented border inside the cut line. The green circle was mounted to the pink mat using foam tape for dimension.
The three flowers overlapping the green circle were fussy cut from the same papers using for the floral panels on the card. They were mounted using glue and foam tape (to support the parts of the flower not on top of the circle.
I think this makes for a beautiful feminine birthday card that one of my lady friends will really appreciate! I am rating the difficulty of this card as a "2" out of a possible "5". By hot foiling the sentiment, the difficulty could be considered a "3", but even hot foiling is super easy!
