Kia has found a very informative video by artist Jenna Rainey. She is demonstrating brush strokes. She shows how to hold the brush and at what angle to create different strokes. She uses brushes that have a nice snap. I did order them, and did not receive the #16, but did my background with the #6. This card is for my oldest grandson who is turning 20. Oh, how time flies. It's a digi from Angie Blom. Printed the digi on the watercolor paper and painted. The background uses the technique of making the circles using the brush vertical to the paper. It is a good practice stroke to do. I will be trying this technique with the larger brush. Hand penned the sentiment with a white gel pen. Come and join us with this practice brush stroke. This is part 1 of the brush stroke series-stay tuned for part 2. TFL

How fun to make your grandson a birthday card with this challenge. I see you had fun with the brush strokes making a perfect background for your card. I really like that digi.

I can picture this guy at a New Year's Eve party - with festoons of balloons and streamers fluttering behind him from the ceiling of a dance floor. Awesome coloring on that Unity image!

Gorgeous! Your brush stroke practice isn't practice in your hands! Amazing work! Your GS will treasure this beauty. The dimension and shading are perfect. Even the headline you wrote, outstanding.
