I used a cardinal stamp from Gina K Design, illustrated by Theresa Momber, and colored it blue like Stacy's bluebird. I used the gel pen to make the branches and berries seem more alive. I blended the pencil coloring with gamsol. After everything was blended, I stamped the image again with Versamark and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. It made the detail visible over my pencil coloring. I found a few gems that would work and called it finished.

I love this! The background paper is so much fun! Your blue jay is gorgeous. This is a wonderful CASE of Stacy's card. Thanks so much for celebrating Stacy!

That bird on a branch card seems to be a popular one to case and I love this version, too. Great idea to over stamp the image once done with the pencils - I too, find that pencil work seems to blur some of the finer details of a stamp, and this is a great way to get them back. Nicely done.
