Her video for the ink swiping technique is terrific. However, for today I did not want to copy her card exactly. Instead of swiping, I blended on some color in the spots where the flowers and leaves would line up. Then I stamped the outline in black and filled in with the two-step stamps in the same ink colors. I stamped the flowers in the Fresh Freesia on the base, and trimmed up the floral panel. I touched on the flowers with Wink of Stella glitter pen, and seeing the shimmer reminded me of the In Color Shimmer Vellum. I layered the panel on the vellum then onto the card base. Stamped on the sentiment. Decided to keep it flat for ease of mailing.
Changes: colors, theme, layering flat, side fold, no ribbon, no gems
Congratulations Kelly! Thanks for sharing your beautiful cards with us and for inspiring mine today.
Update: Sent this card to my SIL for her birthday.
