This is for today's MIX (reflections) and Tuesday's MMTPT (facing the past and the future).
I had started working on this before today but thought it could fit as we could choose a memory for the reflection. One of the best things I did in 2021 was go to the Van Gogh exhibit in Milwaukee. I wish now that we had stayed longer. It was a little hard to stand that long but I could have stayed through another round of the art. It was breathtaking. The song 'Vincent' is one of my favorites and it was playing during the exhibit. Still brings me to tears.
I used three stencils, along with DOx sprays for the bases. Two of the stencils are very large, probably meant for the wall...since I rent, I can't use them that way. So I decided to use half on the front and half on the inside (that was a requirement of the tea party for ourselves). I did the front in blues, purples and greens for night, the inside in bright warm colors for day, hoping we'll see more 'daylight' in 2022. I stenciled part of a Van Gogh quote stencil on the front and continued it inside, having to turn it sideways on the inside right. I also used a starry night stencil inside. On the front are some Stickles for stars.
I miscalculated putting this together, inside panel is a little too wide and I can't close the card. I hope I can fix this. Take a look at the inside for the rest!
Thanks for these two challenges, Sabrina and Lydia....so satisfying!!!!!

Fabulous stencils, Jean. I like the effect they give of a block print. And I love the stars in your night kitchen. Why do I think it's a kitchen. I'm sure it's the other half of the inside which is definitely a bedroom. How odd.

Lovely card Jean, Vincent would have been honored by your card, I love the colors you've used and I hope you can fix the inside to be able to close your card
