Thank our Color Challenge Hostess this week, Barbara (bejoyce) for bringing a gorgeous combination of blues grounded in Very Vanilla! If it seems I am waxing poetic, tis true...these beautiful colors speak to my heart.
I used several of the mixed metals embossing powders on the sentiment, bird, and oval mat. I love the chunky~ness until they melt and you 'see' what you get. EP's have come a long way, don't you think? The bird was colored with Copics and dabbed with additional EP's. I added a tiny clip to secure to the edge of the sentiment...remember all those old ornaments that had clips that never seemed strong enough to stand up on the tree??? Finished the base with a foliage ef from a Fun Stampers Journey.
So here's wishing that you will feel that peace within! Nobody can steal that calm, ruffle your feathers...
Merry Christmas!

And I love when you use that chunky ep -- you always make it look glorious. And speaking of glorious, that is one fancy bird! I love it and the great fussy cutting you did on it. The pine branch ef is one of my new favorites and it's perfect here. Love the look of this card, love the meaning on this card, love the love you spread all over SCS. I hope you enjoy that beautiful peace as well.

Ooo, I love the bird! The embossed body & tail are fabulous. The copper edging is so pretty. You even had a library clip in copper! I still have some of those clips and never know how/when to use them. Clipping on the bird was perfect. Beautiful embossed vanilla panel. An excellent backdrop for the sentiment and the bird. Great card!

Susan, thank you for those kind words! I adore this card, especially that bird, so elaborately embellished! I love the message, as well as the pine embossing folder.
