What a fun challenge - several weeks ago I met the lady who just moved in 4 houses down. In the matter of a few minutes, we found out we are not only the same age but that our birthdays are just 4 days apart in January. This will go to Norma... Ooh - I think I'll make her a batch of my famous Carmel Corn to go with it!!
Since this will be hand delivered, it was time to use the skates - part of a gift tag that came on a box several years ago - I always thought it would make into a fun card, but it was WAY too bulky to send in the mail. I die cut the ornamental frames in aqua and black offsetting them just slightly after cutting the black one in half then added the sentiment also in black. I stamped the snowflake (it got separated from its original set so I can't remember who made it) and embossed with Agean Silver for some shimmer & shine. Then mounted the skates with thick foam tape. Now I'm off to work and will make an envelope to fit this when I get home today.

What a fun card for your new friend! This was a good challenge to try out the bulky embellishments. I'm sure she'll love getting this and your famous carmel corn! Merry Christmas to you Linda! Hugs!

Aren't hand-delivered (or in a package) cards great for using up super-fun embellishments that would be too bulky for mailing. Those skates look fantastic.
LOL, at first I thought it was a shadow from light, but I see you created a shadow layer for the label. I think that's a cool way of doing it, which I often forget about.

I Love those ice skates, Linda! The pom poms are so cute and the packages coming from within the skates are so sweet. Pretty silver snowflakes to match the silver blades~

Those are some gorgeous skates and I love the offset on the frames. They look perfect behind those skates. Love the glittery snowflakes as well. But, I would really love some of your famous carmel corn {{drool}}. Lucky Norma.
