I followed the tutorial, using a combination of Distress Oxide inks, Distress inks, Distress Crayons, and Tombow water-based markers (all in place of watercolor paints). For the stamped floral images, I colored/inked the stamps each time, spritzed them with water, stamped them on the watercolor paper, and then dried the paper with the heat tool in between each stamping (and after applying the initial color wash).
I started by cutting 3 pieces of watercolor paper to the desired sizes and spritzing each liberally with water to soak it. After creating the background color wash on each watercolor panel and stamping the layers of flower silhouettes, I used water to thin some acrylic paints and then splattered each panel with one color of paint and let each panel dry.
After dried, I stamped a sentiment on each panel using StazOn ink. Then I added embellishments (twine, sequins, and/or brass bee charm) to each panel. I adhered two panels to white card bases (one popping it up using dimensional foam tape). For the third card, I first adhered a piece of kraft cardstock to the card front before adhering the watercolor panel to it. TFL!
