This is my card for CC875. Barbara is our hostess and she chose very vanilla, pretty peacock and pool party for her color trio. Dessert option this week is ribbon.
I decided to make a birthday card with the colors this week. I used the two berry images from the "poinsettia petals" stamp for a bit of 2-step stamping. I was able to get the pool party color in that way.
The January sentiment is from the Stampin'-Up "days to remember" set. My designer paper is from the "brightly gleaming" collection. I had to fuss with the photo again because of the copper metallic on the paper. I have trouble photographing metallics.
I used the velvet ribbon to divide my panels and then added a few pretty peacock faceted enamel dots.
That's my sample for this week. The team will be taking next week off. We will be running these same colors for 2 weeks. Merry Christmas everyone.

Mary, that is such pretty DS paper, and I think you did fine with the photography! Metallics are a challenge to photograph, but oh, so pretty on our cards! I love the two-step stamping and yes, we both had the same idea with that ribbon! It is so pretty! Lovely card for a January birthday!

Mary your choice of dsp is perfect for Barbara's colors this week (wish I would have thought of it). This is a super card for a wintery birthday, love it! TFS

Mary, this is such a beautiful January birthday card. Love the shine and the velvet ribbon makes it look so regal. I feel like this would be a great masculine card. My son's birthday is in January. He's turning 38! Where does the time go?
