This weekend I found a pile of Penny Black images I had stamped last year with plans to color, and never did. So I spent a wild Friday night watching true crime shows and coloring, and today I decided to make some of the images into cards.
Since I opted for bright pinks and green on this card, Iâm going to submit put it for the CAS challenge today.I also had downloaded the PDFs of all the older sketches to have on my tablet as a handy reference, and decided to use sketch 03 for my card!
I used a rectangle die to cut out my colored image and layered it on a slightly larger piece of bright pink cardstock. I die cut a larger rectangle of green and embossed in a dot embossing folder. I attached the green rectangle to my white card, then stamped the sentiment on a piece of darker pink patterned paper and attached that to the card. I modified the sketch by putting the image piece in front of the strip instead of behind it, and attached with foam tape.
Thanks for looking!

I have the sketch PDF files on my phone and refer to them every time I get stuck on my card design. Love your use of this sketch and your cute merry and bright card!
