I knew going into today's challenge that for me the ultimate task would NOT be painting a snow scene with rolling hills and pines (which we DON'T have in the desert) but actually trying to paint a scene in the round! So, I decided to follow some advice I had read which is "when in doubt, paint what you know".
Hence, my desert sunset (yes, the colors are that vibrant) with mountains, cactus and scrub grass. What on the video tutorial were meant to be snow spatters became the myriad of stars in a Texas sky.

You are such a smart gal!!! Love your take on this challenge, and giving us this beauty of your beautiful Texas scene. Love, love that sky. A picture of your cards on a computer screen does not give it justice. Having received one of your original paintings is amazing, with the fine detail you do. They really are better in real life. Thanks for sharing this beauty with us. Fav'd

Oh, I love it! Looks like the Arizona sky, too. The Southwest sunsets are so colorful & beautiful. Fabulous painted scene. Love the font on the sentiment. Wonderful card!
