Welcome to today's TLC! Today we are honoring Anita, who will be leaving the TLC team this month. I thought, since she is from the Netherlands, that it would be nice to do the delft tile tutorial, which was created by our own justwritedesigns, Julie. She agreed to do a guest sample for me.
I used a large background stamp after I had done the scoring, following Julie's directions. But you could certainly do any size tiles and use other stamps than a background. You can also use any colors, even though traditionally delft is blue and white. I feel an affinity with Holland since my brother has been in living in Holland, Michigan for a long time. They have a tulip farm, a wooden shoe and bowl factory and a delft factory.
I decided to add just a little color to bits of the background and punched a bunch of vases, tulips and leaves, sponged with various inks. The Masking Magic paper really helps with the edge sponging.
Let's all hope that Anita keeps playing in the TLC in the future. I'll miss you in the TLC chat, Anita!

Your tile looks great Jean, the background looks like multi layers and the vase is a perfect addition with tulips for a Dutch design, and of course I'll continue to play in the TLC, I can't stop creating!!

What a cool background stamp, Jean! Oh, how much fun it must be to visit your brother's tulip farm and the Dutch-themed factory!! Lucky you!
