Jeanne is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us a welcome change from the deep and rich colors of fall and winter with some pretty pastels. The colors are Fresh Freesia, Just Jade, Misty Moonlight, and Soft Sea Foam. The dessert option is "anything goes." My dessert is "gems."
Any time we have four colors in our challenge, my mind turns to turnabout stamps from Concord & 9th. The set I used is doubly interesting because it can make a full card front, just the center circle, or the front with a blank circle (for a greeting or embellishment). I chose to use just the central circle for this card, and framed it with a scallop circle die. The background layer is Soft Sea Foam, dry embossed with a leaf design. The greeting is die cut once from Fresh Freesia and twice from white, and they are stacked and glued for dimension. A few gems in a light purple color finish my design.
I hope to see some beautiful springtime colors in the gallery this week! Please join us!

Wonderful stamping in the challenge colors. Love the design. The scallop circle frames it beautifully. Nicely complemented with the dry embossing and gems. Beautiful card.

What a lovely way to show off these colors, Barbara! The softly textured leafy background is such a perfect setting for the dainty florals on your circle.

so pretty Barbara - I love the turnabout stamps and you always create such a great card design with them. The die cut sentiment is lovely as well. I thought about using a turnabout for my card- but I need more Christmas cards.

Barbara, your stamped turnabout floral arrangement is lovely done in these colors. This pattern reminds me of a beautiful Amish image that could be done in needlepoint. The scalloped circle frame and embossed background adds so much dimension and interest to the card. Lovely!

Wonderful card. I love the folk art look of that stamp and the way you highlighted it by framing it in the circle. Beautiful use of the colors. Lovely card.
