When I was just out of college, the band director and his wife would organize a caroling party, food, drink but instead of singing, we would bring our instruments and play carols for the neighbors. We were quite the motley crew, depending on how much we drank, but we played very well. It was a little hard on the instruments to have them outside, I was always worried about spit freezing inside my flute.
Believe it or not, I don't have any caroling images but, in going through my multitude of Christmas ephemera, I found this Christmas card that I think I might have bought in college. Yes, I still have cards I bought in college. I'd go over to the union bookstore and browse and browse and browse. They had a lot of different, artistic cards. I also found an old paper copy of Dicken's A Christmas Carol, which is my favorite book of the season. I opened it up to this page, where Scrooge wishes he had given something to the poor children caroling outside his business. How opportune! The inside of the card is where my title comes from. The cute little guy is inside with that sentiment...he has kind of shy, sheepish look.

How cleverly repurposed, and I am amazed you have things left over from college. The only thing I have left over from those days is my DH!!

So clever and creative, Jean! I love the fun caroler and you did, indeed, find the perfect page from "A Christmas Carol". I like the green sponged edges.

Very creative repurposing! As Anne said I too only have my husband left from university days. ...well maybe my organic chemistry textbook, ha, ha! Love that little tree clip. I read all the text you have showing. I need to read the book again I think!

I don't think I still have anything hanging around from college days but there are a couple of boxes of things stashed waaaay back on some shelves downstairs... Who knows what might be in them! Fun that you found this card and repurposed it for the challenge.
