I am late all around - late for the FS challenge and late with my Fall wishes!
This week, Kittie selected Sue aka StampinForMySanity as the Featured Stamper. I have always admired Sue's SCS name as I feel like stamping saves my sanity - especially these days.
Sue has a fabulous gallery full of gorgeous papers, images, colors, and sketches. I felt ambious yesterday and decided to case her Art Gallery Congratulations card:
I say ambitious becuase I decided I could use actual modeling paste instead of dp that looked like it. It took all day to dry because I laid it on thick. I could not figure out how to get the texture right so I am now well aware I would not be good at doing walls or serious mixed media paintings.
My changes are obvious: colors, dies, sentiment, gold paint, etc.
Sue, I hope you enjoy your FS week. Your gallery is super cool, and I appreciate the inspiration.

Way to persevere, Nan! I like your rough texture with a hint of gold, even more I like the memory brought with your story. If there is anything worse than spending hours on a texture you do not love, it is spending more hours sanding all those walls.

What wonderful texture added with your paste - lovely as a background for your fall leaves! (I bet it would really crumple if sent in the mail though?!)!!

Awesome! I was just thinking yesterday that I wanted to pull out some texture paste for some project and today your gorgeous card pops up. I think it's a sign. I like the thickness of your paste; but I know what you mean about taking so long to dry. Fabulous card, Nancy and I hope you enjoy the rest of your Fall. It won't be long til Winter...brrrrrrr.

Hello you! Fun case of Sue’s card. At the moment our snow is all gone but this rather makes me think of how our yard looked a couple of weeks ago - leaves falling onto white snow. Our seasons often get a bit mixed up around here. Today we had rain, which then froze but now it’s a pleasant fall day. Go figure.
I hear you on waiting for texture paste to dry - guess I’m just too impatient. My husband is currently painting several rooms in our house - I don’t have the level of patience it takes to wait for the patches to dry. He can paint. I’ll go make something in the Rubber Room.

Nancy, this is a wonderful case of Sue's card. I love how you used the texture paste to create the backdrop for your beautiful fall leaves. Such a lovely fall card.

Waiting for something to dry is painful for us cardmakers, lol. Love it though. I really like the gold stickled edges of your leaves and that one pop of a yellow leaf looks awesome, Nancy.
