I am away from my house and couldn't stamp this week but did bring my painting stuff as I'm trying to get good enough with dot painting to make ornament Christmas gifts. I decided to try one with this week's colors, though I didn't have quite the right green and the colors look a little different in the photoâe"the yellow is more of a golden yellow like the color combo. I used white and gold metallic as neutrals.
I painted the raw wood ornament in black gesso, then used craft paints mixed with some pouring medium to get the right consistency, and applied the dots with a variety of sizes of dotting tools and nail styluses. After the first coat dried I added top dots on the larger ones. I have to seal it with some spray varnish when I get home and add a ribbon but I'm pretty happy with this one!

Wonderful ornament! Your painting technique is amazing. Fabulous idea for using the challenge colors! So glad you could join in with the Color Challenge, even while you are away from home. Love it!
