This was a 'make it up as I go' card. I knew I wanted to use punches because that was the WT for this week; I used two...the little snowflake and the black border. The clock is a die as is the sentiment. I'm grabbing things left and right, figuring out a scheme and I got to thinking about time. We never have enough of it, although sometimes it drags and sometimes it goes by so fast. 2021 has flown by and we're still in the same muck that we were last year. Musicians like me are always thinking about time; time signatures, like 6/8 or 5/4, the ticking of the metronome so one plays the correct tempo, getting to a rehearsal or concert early because if one is on time, one is late!
Then my brain went to the title of this card; my daughter Liz will celebrate her 40th birthday on that date. The hospital had military time clocks that I watched constantly (20:16 PM is when she was born). And she wasn't even 24 hours late! There were Christmas decorations in the halls and it was snowing outside. The Packers lost to the Jets that day. We brought her home Christmas Eve and her Dad called the local radio station and asked them to play a song from the John Denver album 'A Muppet Christmas.' Winter of 1981/1982 was one of the snowiest and coldest on record, I thought I was going to lose my mind, but I wouldn't have given her up for the world. I stayed alive eating Christmas cookies. I could give this to her but I may keep it for myself.
See that 'ff' right under the clock? That means double forte or fortissimo musically, which is very loud, and that is how loud Liz was at 2 am in 1981.

What a great story Jean! There are events that will always stay with us no matter how long ago they occurred. The birth of a daughter is one of them. My daughter was born on Super Bowl
Sunday 1978 and the wind and snow were howling. I love your clock die cut and the repeated part circles of your border and corners!

Allot of thought when into your card. It’s nice you have a story to tell I think you need to add it in on a piece of paper and place the paper in the middle of the card so the story is passed on. Nice card.

Love the design of your punches. Love the music being a part of it too!

Wow, you have a great memory! I have no idea what was happening in the world, or even our community when my kids were born. You have created a beautiful, meaningful card. So much love has gone into it.

your memory is so amazing I love what you built here, maybe tuck a note inside in case you ever do decide to share it with her. so she gets the same warm fuzzies we did reading along with how/why it was built.
