For the Inspiration Challenge (IC833), weâre going to a wonderful Lighthouse Pinterest Board where I found THIS lovely picture.
For my southwest card, I started w/ a background I made quite a while ago. I thought the purples & oranges were good colors for a desert sunset scene. The bg was done by smooshing the Marvy metallic markers onto a rubber brayer, spritzing w/ water & rolling it over a piece of white card. If I remember correctly, I did it once w/ the yellow, orange & silver colors & again w/ the purples & silver. The hills & cactus plants were die cut out of a few shades of purple & I used part of the leftover orange areas for the cowgirl, cowboy & roadrunner. They were also popped up on foam to give them a little depth.
Thanks so much for looking. It's on my blog w/ more pics & links: The Write Stuff

I love the vivid colors you have used in this fabulous desert scene, Julie. I see bright red and purple mountains all around me in my new desert home. And they are layered, just like the ones in your gorgeous card.
