I did my best with her instructions. Not a painter...I did use one of my own photos from Giverny as inspiration - even as a photo it's almost abstract and very impressionistic. I'll add it in the challenge thread. I only just scrap in with the mixed mediums because I used gesso as a base layer on some acrylic paper to give a canvas-like texture. I shortened the length of the original rectangle to give myself a smaller canvas, and painted with Twinkling H2Os. Popped on on foam on some blue DP with a scored border, added some tiny dragonflies in each corner (so now I've used something from each of my punch boxes for Toni's challenge) and added to a cream base. Funny, I don't think I've ever actually seen dragonflies on the pond there, though there must be some. Frogs, yes...

So beautiful. You really captured his style. I love Monet and have only seen Giverny once, but any chance I get to see an exhibit of his works, I jump on it. A few years ago the botanical garden in NY included his works in one of their summer exhibits which was a treat, but going to Giverny topped it by far.

Oh! I thought of Giverny as soon as I saw the thumbnail. On my bucket list to visit some day. Beautiful card and I love the tiny punched dragonflies. I may have the same punch somewhere!

This is really beautiful! I have always really enjoyed Monet and a co-worker brought me some photos back from Giverny when she visited. I'm going to check out the tutorial to see if it's something that I could do.
