Following Debby Hughes's tutorial on stamping with watercolors (Watercolor Wednesday challenge), I used Distress inks to ink smoosh on a panel of mixed media paper. When that dried, I put it into my MISTI. I placed a couple of the wildflower stamps, & inked them with Distress Oxide inks & sponge daubers. I started with spritzing the stamps lightly with water, but eventually just stamped them without misting. I had to stamp a few times to get a good impression. I probably deviated a bit from Debby's method, but I wanted something a little more recognizable with my images. I stamped a few more flowers, & then decided that was enough.
I didn't know at first what to use for a greeting. But I thought this might make a good sympathy card, so I found a small greeting that seemed to fit the "look" of the card. I stamped that onto a strip of pale blue cardstock, & adhered it to my background. Finally, I matted the panel with cream cardstock, & adhered it to a white card base.
