Finally made a card for this week's Tea party - Something Old, Something New. My neighbour had requested a 50th birthday card for her cousin so this is for her.
My old is this PB stamp set, the sentiment die and number stickers. The new - my Tomboy marker pens. I could also add my Misti which I have owned for a number of years but never used! Needless to say I love using it, what was I thinking!!
I coloured the stamp using the Tomboy marker pens, misted with water and, using my Misti, stamped onto the mixed media vellum paper. Sponged around the top corner using lemon lime ink and added the sentiment and the number stickers.
TFL!

Beautiful card, Sue, very elegant indeed. The sponging is beautifully done. Enjoy your new markers. I have Marvys that are so old I need to go through them and throw some out.

This is gorgeous! I ,too, have some old Tombows that I use now and then...I like that technique of coloring right on the stamps. I'm shocked you hadn't used your MISTI until now! Your friend will love this special card.

Very pretty flowers in those colors, and the sponging adds nice color to the background. I also like the two-toned sentiment. Very lovely birthday card!

What a gorgeous card! I had to smile, reading your description, of how the autocorrect changes Tombow to Tomboy. Happens to me all the time. Love the doubled up sentiment and your beautiful colours. This is a super card!
