Love this Penny Black cardinal image. There are several friends on the Christmas list for whom cardinals have a special meaning. So I'm always working on those cards for Christmas. Ann's challenge was truly timely. The image is watercolored on watercolor paper(of course) and the bg is done with TH OI inks, water mister, and white acrylic spray.

Would you believe the first time I saw a cardinal was in San Antonio Texas at the Botanical Garden in 2018, where I saw a few of them. I was enthralled!
