I love poppies and these were fun to paint. I did use a stamp to guide my composition, because I was too lazy to just do it on my own. Someone gave me this poppy stamp, so I donât know who itâs by. I stamped it lightly in Grout Gray and just used it as a guide for flower/stem/leaf placement. If you look really closely at the flowers you can see the actual stamp which is much much smaller than the flowers that I painted. Todayâs sketch was a really nice one to combine with this WCW. But my painting was bigger than I expecte and I had to crop it to fit. I used some of my favorite DP to frame it.

I love how you let the stamp guide you but you gave the flowers a life all their own with your vibrant painting! Some days, I really like using a stamp to start off a painting! This worked beautifully with the sketch.
