I LOVE the Lisa Whitehouse videos and find her easy to follow so this was a fun project for me. I started by sketching and painting the large mushroom much like Lisa showed in her video but upgraded with the frilly ring then decided to add the squat blue one and some babies until I ended up with a whole garden. The only thing I didn't care for was the big white dots she added at the end so I watered down some white acrylic paint and spattered some very fine white dots on the caps after the watercolors were dry.
I computer generated my sentiment which says in full, "Advise is like mushrooms . . . the wrong kind can be fatal." Printed on computer paper, cut with a wavy edged scissors and sponged to blend into the grasses on my painting.

WOW!!!! Anita is right, these look like an illustration from a children's book. They are colorful and so magical. Like the different sizes and grasses you have to ground them. Terrific job!!! Thanks for adding the beauty and magic to the gallery.
Oh! I agree with you! I didn't like the white dots either but I still went with them. Your fine splatters are better. Filing that away for next time! Your painting is gorgeous. I love your pretty troop of mushrooms! Beautiful painting!

These are great, Linda! I love all the colors and like you I did a bit of a garden after looking at the pictures of lots of different mushrooms. Your inside sentiment is priceless. I am going to paint another one and use it also! btw - love your new picture also.
