I moved a LOT in my first 60 years so I never really got into collecting stuff. My adult kids, however, decided I need a collection of something and started giving me Dreamscicles. My favorite of all is one called "One World" especially meaningful to me because for many years I hosted foreign soldiers (and sometimes their families) through the International Host Family Program at Ft Bliss, TX. Over a 20 year period, I hosted people from Germany, Japan, Norway, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Romania, Turkey and many more. Some I have lost contact with and some I correspond with to this day! My motto through this journey was "World peace - one friend at a time!" The hardest part of my card was finding some cherubs digis that I liked. I printed my motto on vellum, did a torn edge and outlined with crystal stickles.

You are one interesting gal. Sounds like your life has been an adventure, and you have shared your kindness. Your card is lovely as the Dreamscicles piece. TFS

This is so sweet....and what a fabulous message. You've certainly led an interesting life and have had some wonderful experiences but...it is about the friendships, isn't it?

What a special story and beautiful card. A very suitable one for teapotters, too...Well done on still being in touch with some. As life goes on, it's hard to find the time to keep up with everything, I find.

Thanks for sharing this part of your life with us. How wonderful to have lived in so many places, then hosted so many people from all over. What interesting people you must meet. You inspire me to reach out to others more. Great card with the cherubs and beautiful sentiment.
