I know toucans are black, mostly. But I wanted colour, parrot sort of colour, so we have a bright toucan. I was thrilled to see one when we were last in France, couldn't get over his blue, blue eyes!!
Dina's challenge yesterday was MIX it first:MIX456 - Mix it first! (10/22/21) by dini at Splitcoaststampers, and for that I mixed Brushos and a little glitter with texture paste. After I'd made the background for my poinsettia card, I still had a little tinted paste left and didn't want to waste it, so I pulled out this stencil and a background from my box (2017, I'd made it A2 and then it was too small for what I wanted and I had to do it all again as a larger square) and made this. The washi tape edging was already on it, but I had die-cut something out of the bottom part so I had to trim it down to a square and add more tape along the bottom edge.
I stamped my bird and branch, coloured with pencils and fussy-cut. I prized up the washi tape along the edge so I could tuck the branch underneath it.
I had to take the photo at an odd angle because I used the same stencil to emboss the background, before popping the main panel up on foam. I think you can see it...

So pretty your colorful Toucan and love the tropical texture print on your "old" bg, the framing with the washi tape works very well with this tropical design

This is beautiful, Sabrina! Fabulous background and yes, I can see the embossing. I also love your colorful toucan, such fun. And I really like the way you framed it with that white, embossed background.
