For the Inspiration Challenge (IC829) weâre visiting a Pinterest Umbrella Board where I found THIS lovely umbrella.
To make my slimline card, I taped down the tree section of the 2 part stencil & sponged in the blues for the bg. The stencil masks out only the birches so they stay white, or whatever color base youâre using. After removing it, I taped down the second stencil part that gives the dark lines on the trees & used the darkest gray ink to sponge those. I also used a few gray Copics along the sides of the birches to add a little dimension to them. The leaves were all stamped, colored & die cut w/ their coordinating dies. Some were popped up w/ foam & others were attached flat. The greeting was die cut w/ a tag die & to get the same edge on both sides, I cut it half way, turned the die around, matched it up & cut the other half.
Thanks so much for looking. It's on my blog w/ Copic colors & links: The Write Stuff

I love the bright blue sky with the white birches and colorful autumn leaves, Julie. That birch stencil is amazing and you shaded it so beautifully. What a clever way to use your tag die on this lovely sentiment. Fabulous slimline card.

Beautiful slimline card with the trees and pretty Autumn leaves. It appears we are not going to have a colorful Fall in New England. How sad.
