I used the same poinsettia that I used for MariLynn's challenge last week - this time I sponged the leaves after cutting them from the same DP. The red layers are rubbed with metallic rub-ons.
For the base, I used DTP and three colours of distress for a faux wood look. I mixed two different green Brushos with texture paste - although in the end, they pretty much ended up blended together. I sprinkled some glitter over it while it was still wet.
I edged the piece with gold paint and coarse glitter and left it to dry for a couple of hours. Added a few sequins and a little tag to finish it off.

Beautiful card. I love the way your background turned out. It almost looks like its floating above the woodgrain. The gold edging adds to the elegance of the card.
