Ashley (aka amacy0411) is our latest Featured Stamper and I recognized many of her wonderful cards from the various challenges in which she regularly participates. But there were lots of new ones too and this jewel caught my eye because it reminded me of my hummingbird dies: Jeweled Hummingbird by amacy0411 at Splitcoaststampers
I kept the hummer, the floral theme and Ashley's general palette although I went for lighter hues of her colors. My rectangle is a scallop which I centered unlike hers which is straight and to one side.
To assemble my card, I first stamped the trailing leaves and flowers on a cs panel which I die cut with two scallop frames. I die cut and stacked four more of the smaller scallop frames so the middle is slightly raised. Added the colored and die cut flowers on top along with the sentiment and bird. One of the local and year-round hummingbirds in our area is an Anna's Hummingbird which has a beautiful jewel green backside and an iridescent rosy head and neck and that was the inspiration for my color choices on this bird.
Congratulations Ashley on being featured this week. You have a fabulous Gallery and I hope you enjoy all the cards being made in your honor. And, I hope everyone is having a beautiful day filled with beautiful sights -- like Hummingbirds. TFL.

Your scalloped frames are so dynamic, Debbie! The flowers pop and your stamping softens the circles even more so this makes a lovely garden for your happy hummer. I also like the script at bottom and the distressed pink behind. A wow card!

So pretty. I love the colors and the little hummer is perfect with the lovely flowers. My little hummers have flown away for the winter. I miss them already.
