I'll let you in on a little secret. I am my own worst critic! Ha! Aren't we all? I like to question everything I do and then second guess my decisions. I make my life more difficult than it needs to be but it doesn't stop me!
I've been trying to get the hang of coloring with distress inks. Marci from La-La Land Crafts begs to be colored like this! LoL So here I am with a project I spent so much time on, I cannot make myself toss it! It started with... I absolutely HAD to give Marci eyes! I suffer like that with my Copic coloring... why not with the distress inks? Then... I decided to give her black hair... it just got worse... I decided to "fix" her black hair with a Prismacolor black pencil. At this point, I didn't think to stop. Then I decided... she didn't match the paper I wanted to use... so I stamped out her dress from the paper I wanted to use. Well, this invovled fussy cutting and usually, I love fussy cutting, but I did not give this enough thought. I mean this was just a nightmare in real time! Then... I decide... what the heck? Let's add in the cow stamp that goes with this kit! After all that time... I decided that was not enough. LoL Let's make a shaker card I tell myself! Found the perfect BG printed cardstock for a farm themed card. Anyway... I ended up with this! Marci is colored with Tim Holtz distress inks in Black Soot, Wild Honey, Worn Lipstick, Broken China, Fired Brick and Vintage Photo and a Prismacolor black pencil. Cow is colored with Brushed Corduroy and Worn Lipstick. Stamped images and diecuts are from La-La Land Crafts April 2016 kit. Printed cardstock is from Carta Bella packs called Country Kitchen and Homemade with Love. I used Rangers Liquid Pearls in Buttercup for centers of all flowers. Used Therm O Web foam tape to mount the shaker card. All other supplies are from my stash.

Turned out FABULOUS! Such great detail and coloring. And I totally know what you mean about second-guessing yourself and being your own worst critic... me too!

Thank you for sharing your process and what you were thinking! It's such an adorable card. I love all the little flowers sprinkled about (And yes to being our own worst critic. Sigh!)
