It has taken me all day to get my harvest moon done. I water colored the bg in navy blue and black. When it dried I colored my harvest moon with orange yellow and orange and red. I got the white in my moon by wetting it with white wc and dabbing it up with a kleenex.
For the trees I used the pine tree stamp from lovely as a tree. Stamped it off and then stamped it on my paper. I used my graph it black fine to marker from Marker universe to work the pine needles and tree. The other 2 trees I drew with my marker and colored it in with the other end.
There you have it my version of the harvest moon

Lovely Mary Jo with your watercoloring. Thanks for your detailed deets on your techniques. Great way for all of us to learn from you. Like how you did your highlighting with the white and dabbing with a tissue. Your sketching of the trees looks amazing, along with the shadowing. This will look magical framed. Thanks for playing this week. Now we have another beautiful harvest moon in the gallery.

Very pretty blend of oranges and yellows on your moon and you got some great craters in it , too. How nice to know that even though I went rogue on my painting, that the trees inspired you to do the same. I start out thinking to follow the videos then my brush usually does exactly what it wants to do - lol!
