Funeral #2 of 3 this month tonight...my friend Suzanne's husband, Mark, only 72. I've known Suzanne since my Liz was a baby. We got together once a month for a very long time, 30 some years, along with another friend, Judy. However, this past year has disrupted that a lot and I miss them. Wish I wasn't seeing them this way.
I used today's sketch and yesterday's colors. I guess the colors don't necessarily evoke a sympathy card but I don't do traditional sympathy. Mark loved to be outdoors, hunted, fished, bought a second home in northern WI on the Lac du Flambeau water way. He wasn't able to be there at all this summer, which is so sad.
I stamped the leaves in black, embossed with clear ep and sprayed three different sprays over it. Did the same with the top and side strips. I still can't find my sentiment stamp so I computer generated it. There is a little Lindy's Stamp Gang 'gag me with a spoon' gray spray on the background...yes, that's what it is called. My 'weathered' is the strips of black/gray Co'ordinations paper, sanded. Also, I think the sprays add some 'weathering.'

This is a beautiful sympathy card, Jean and wonderful for an outdoorsman. I like to make my sympathy cards fit the interests of the person, as well. I'm so sorry to hear of your friend's loss.
