Thank you Chris for selecting some fun colors for this week's Color Challenge CC864. Chris has selected Real Red, Bermuda Bay and Basic Black with the dessert option of 'Weathered' (wood, weathered sign, gray haired gnome, gnarly old tree, sanding or aging paper etc.)
I opted to create another Christmas card this week only this time using the Nuts About Squirrels stamp set. Since this is a fall set I used a few images from Penquin Place to dress up my squirrels for Christmas! The embossed Early Espresso panel was distressed with White Craft ink by swiping it over the raised area. I cut a hole in the wood panel and layered it with dimensionals to give the illusion it was the squirrels home in the tree. A bow was attached to the girl and a knit hat was added to the boy! The acorn the squirrel originally held was masked out and a present was added in its place. This was a fun card to put together but I wouldn't call it a quick one to create.
Please join us, the design team, we would love see your take on Chris' challenge this week! Thank you for taking a look!

This is so adorable. I love those cute squirrels and their "attire". Your masking is flawless - that present looks like it was part of the original image. Love the "black hole" they are living in too. Fabulous card.

These adorable squirrels are all dressed up for Christmas, and they are so cute! I love how you placed them in the weathered tree, and of course, love the photography staging!
