I'm starting off the October Color Challenges with teh combination of Bermuda Bay, Real Red and Basic Black with "anything weathered" for dessert.
While the DSP that I was using looked pretty weathered in a 12" x 12" sheet it wasn't quite so apparent in smaller pieces like my die cut words and background. So I just sanded the letters and background a bit until they truly did look weathered. That's one of my favorite things about DSP - the white core that can be sanded!
I can't wait to see what you decide to do with these colors and maybe even dessert...

Fantastic card. Love the HUGS and background in the weathered woodgrain. The floral wreath around the sentiment make it extra special. The scallops are a perfect edging. Wonderful inspiration and beautiful colors combo!

I love the design, look and feel of this card. It just makes me smile. Your floral wreath looks so lively and uplifting in these colors. Wonderful framing for that great sentiment/die. Love the scallop frame and it really accentuates the light-hearted feel of this card. Wonderful card.

I love your choice of colors this week and the dessert! And your card is so pretty - I’m sure you had this in mind when choosing the colors. This is so perfect for them. Beautiful card!

Chris your color and dessert this week was a great challenge, that I really enjoyed doing! Love the weathered idea! Your design is perfectly colored and the white scallop edged panel shows off your focal point wonderfully! The stacked sentiment in weathered wood is definitely thinking outside the box, love it!
