Polly and Susan are hosting this week's MIX challenge with Susan's idea of using an image from something in our home--from a magazine, newspaper, junk mail, etc. I obviously have a drawer full of things like that waiting to be used on cards. And when I opened up that drawer, I had this page from my Golden Girls daily calendar right there on top. That's perfect because one of my best friends has a birthday coming up next week. I cut out the picture from the calendar page and glued it to a piece of cardstock that I had stamped "Stay Golden" all over. Then I sponged the leaf pattern in Twisted Citron and Rustic Wilderness and spread Nuvo Glimmer Paste over it too. This was quick and easy and fun to make.

Thank you, Jen for bringing those fabulous friends to the MIX today! The Glimmer paste along with the DO’s made for one fantastic bg! Betcha, your friend will get a laugh from her Golden card…I know I did.

I'm a big fan of leaves, so these gorgeous glittery green leaves drew me in! What a great birthday card with the Golden Girls and that fantastic line from the theme song--thanks for being a friend! I particularly love these stenciled leaves in the glitter product, I can only imagine the depth and the actual glitter in person, as it's beautiful in the photo. I can only imagine how much the recipient felt that this birthday card made her feel very special indeed!!!
I wanted to thank you so much for leaving a comment on my hand-stitched baby card--I know that isn't the norm of a card here on SCS, yet you still stopped and left a comment and that meant a whole lot to me, and I wanted to express my appreciation and to take a look at your wonderful gallery too. Just know that you really touched my heart, and I am very grateful.
