I went of a two for the price of one here. First I cut the dragonflies. I used the overall negative as a maske and sponged with salvaged patina distress. Then I added the dragonflies and sponged with peacock feathers distress. I did actually have to cut it again from eclipse tape so that I could mask off a few of the little gaps between the dragonflies - it didn't look right when I didn't.
I used a silver pen for their eyes, stamped a text stamp with the salvaged patina and stenciled a clock stencil with antique linen. Edged it with a gold pen and added it to a textured layer on my card base. The sentiment comes from an old Aspects of Design set.
For the square card - this is the piece I originally cut my die from to create the mask. So when I was sponging the white piece with salvaged patina, I sponged the full square. Then I spattered it with Twinkling H2Os in gold and aqua, and stamped the sort of bubble design over it with delicata gold.
After the second sponging on the white panel, my dragonflies were now a nice shade of peacock feathers. I covered them in Versamark and embossed with Iridescent Ice. Then I put them down on a non-stick sheet and filled each wing with clear-drying glue, and sprinkled glitter over. I decided that this would be easier than cutting acetate to fit, and it workd well. They are popped up on foam, and the salvaged patina layer is also popped up on foam. The base uses a background stamp and sentiment from Aspects of Design, and I added a gold border.

Both pretty...again you teach me something. I would never think to do that trick with the non stick, glue and glitter. With my luck the wings would never stay down while it dried. lol

Wow, what gorgeous cards. I may have to CASE these. I love what you did with the center of the wings on the die cut ones! The BG with the stenciling is really great too.
