Hello all, care to join me amongst the stars? Our Ways to Use it Hostess has challenged us with Outer Space! A very creative opportunity to take a free ride. I happened to need a card for a dear family friend who has made Colorado her new home.
I chose The Moon and the Maker stencil 'Moonbeams' using mixed media paper and a large variety of old chalk inks rubbed over the stencil. The color of blues, violets, and yellows are beautiful together. I used a VersaMagic pen to moisten random areas and then sprinkled various embossing powder and watched the magic in the melt! The Lemon Drop feels different from the Aged Marine Enamel.
I added the black bangs in honor of the recipient. That beautiful stenciled moon face is so lovely. The banner across the head says: Sprinkle Moondust, Spread Magic. I dipped the edges of the banner in two shades of Cosmic Shimmer, attaching it with a heart shaped grommet. The face is finished with a piece of vintage lace and golden threads.
Thank you, Sabrina for bringing us stars, heavenly bodies, and the universe! I can't wait to see the gallery offerings. I appreciate the gift of your comments...

Beautiful in every detail. The moon face with the fringe (bangs) is very Asian looking and lovely. The starry background with the chalk and embossing is amazing and sounds very tactile. The brad in the hair is sweet and the snippet of lace looks so beautiful.

You have some of the most unique images and they are magic in your hand and imagination. Artful in EVERY way, especially for a friend moving to a new area. I love the wonky white protective halo/helmet you left around this chic astronaut face. Lace in space...so very cool, neighbor!

One should really take some time to enjoy what you have created here. The more time I spent looking at this card, the more I enjoyed the colors and the beautiful vintage lace. This is just lovely!
