Anita is our Teapot Challenge hostess and we are sending cards of cheer to Debbie who loves lighthouses.
To make the background for the lighthouse, I followed a tutorial called Sponge Flip Background that Tina Zinck shared on her blog, serenestamper.com. Here's the link to her tutorial and video:
Angie used the same background technique but changed it up by using a brayer instead of a sponge to apply the ink. After I had inked the background with a brayer, I splattered water to distress it then embossed it with the Woodgrain folder. The mat was embossed with the Textile folder and the sentiment was white embossed.
Thank you, Anita, for the fun challenge!

Beautiful colors and texture on your lighthouse design, it doesn't matter you didn't add a number that was just to make it a bit challenging, there's never a must!!

This bg is GORGEOUS. Love the colors and the texture and the look of the color blocking. Will definitely be trying this technique at some time. Beautiful backdrop for that great lighthouse images. Wonderful card. Fav’d.
