Our site today is Peruvian Connection.
In the section on Art, I found THIS print. It reminded me of Edward Gorey's alphabet book, full of macabre images and dire poetic verses. (Such as A is for Amy, who fell down the stairs, B is for Basil, Eaten by bears.......)
This goes to our grandson Tom, who not only has my copy of this book, but also the lunchbox I bought while touring the Gorey House on the Cape.
Inside it says,
"Happy Halloween. A posthumous greeting from the Gashlycrumb Tinies (and Gram-Tons of love xoxox)."
P.S. After some of the comments, I wish I was getting royalties for the books that sell!!!

This is a great take on your inspiration and perfectly haunting df. I've never heard of Edward Gorey but his name seems to fit your examples! Tom will surely appreciate this.

This is so you, Anne! You have got to be one of the coolest "grams" ever! The author certainly had the perfect last name for the book, I think! I had to laugh, just picturing me reading it to little grandkids and probably giving them nightmares!
