I took the easy way out of the WT today and scored some straight lines. I like that thinking....curves and straight lines. I think I painted enough curves.
I always give watercoloring a 2 for difficulty, partly because of the time it takes. These were not hard by any means but there are a lot of layers of paint going on, constantly going back in and adding, moving things around. I used a water brush mostly, hadn't tried that in a while. The red/pink/orange one is the first one I did, tried Karin markers. One thing I struggle with these markers is that while I can get the color moving, there is still a much darker spot where I put the marker down at first. If anyone has any suggestions, let me know. I had to work hard to make that blend in, adding darker colors. I loved the video and her combo of crimson, blue and brown for the stems. I put this project in the tags gallery since there wasn't a bookmark gallery.

You had to smile when you finished these beauties. They are lovely with your blending of the beautiful colors. They are perfect for the WT challenge as they start out as a curve. Thanks for coming to play in the watercolor challenge and giving the gallery a few more blooms to admire.

These are gorgeous Jean...they're so delicate looking around the edges. I love your addition of the scoring....I was looking for something else to add to mine...scoring was a great idea!

There is a bookmarks gallery, actually! I'll move this and then you can see where it is from the breadcrumb trail. The red one is my favourite. I can't see any issue with a darker patch of colour, but identify with the issue as it's what happens to me with all techniques that call for dabbing acrylic paints as the first stage.
The scored lines look great great, and add a little texture too, for a bonus.
