This card is for Brenda as she recovers from a broken knee cap. I can't imagine how painful that must be! We are all sending her some sunshine; I am doing it literally by putting the sun in an envelope. I don't own a sun die, so I used a circle die, embossed it and added thin strips of yellow for the rays. I made the envelope using this soft colored, two-sided DP because I wanted the sun to really pop out and added a gem at the closure. The sentiment, "Sending you Sunshine" is stamped on a piece of paper inside, held in place with the gold cord.

I love this idea and your creativity in creating both the design and a sun without owning a sun die, The embossing on the sun is gorgeous. Great choice using a soft dp as it really complements that bright yellow rays bursting out. Sunshine in an envelope -- what a wonderful gift to receive. Brenda is sure to adore this.

A clever way to send sunshine to Brenda! Cute idea!
