I have to share something personal today. Today is tough for me....it's the last time I saw my Dad. No, I didn't lose him in the tower collapse but instead, the stress of seeing and watching it on TV and recalling all the memories of being in the 2nd World War stressed him to the point of having a stroke. He died 7 days later. I live in Canada but the loss affected us here too. My heart goes out to everyone affected by these terrible events.
Anyways, my card was done on a Gel Plate using Distress Ox inks. I brayered the ink onto the plate, then laid on some grasses to create the print.
thanks for looking.

I am so sorry for your loss, Karen. So many were adversely affected by that awful day.
Your card is beautiful.........laying the grasses on the gel plate made a wonderful and interesting bg for the words. Hugs, mf.

I'm so sorry to hear your dad passed in such a sad way. I was thinking this morning that the problems we have now are much the same as those that have been experienced throughout history. Your dad must have been a very brave man who went through some very harrowing times during the war and he carried that with him throughout his life. He is blessed to have a caring, amazing daughter like you, Karen. You are such an incredible artist. I still can't believe the magic your create with your gel plate!

Your Dad was obviously a very compassionate man to have felt so deeply about the lives of others. This card is beautiful in those gorgeous shades of green!

Lovely sympathy card, Karen! I love the grasses and various greens you used! I'm so sorry to hear of how your dad passed. I remember just watching in total shock, what was happening and I'm so sorry it caused him to have a stroke.
