Jeanne is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she is welcoming fall with her crisp, autumn colors: Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Balmy Blue and Early Espresso. The dessert option is "fall."
I can't believe it's been a year since the first and only time I used this cute set from a kit last year, but I was happy to pull it out and play with it today! I used a piece of Balmy Blue DS paper for my background/sky, and a strip of woodgrain DS paper for my ground. I did a little masking to get the owl sitting on the tree stump, and paper piecing for the pumpkin. All the elements were stamped and fussy cut. I did use a tiny bit of ersatz Mossy Meadow for my pumpkin stem, and several different brown shades, all of which are considered neutrals. I even did a little tip-to-tip shading with my Copics on the leaves. A touch of glitter pen and a few gems. Oh, yes, I stamped the greeting (twice) with Early Espresso ink and then heat set with clear embossing powder!
I can't believe it's September already, but I'm embracing this week's colors, and I hope you will, too! We'd love to see what you create with this palette!

Oh, Barbara! I can't imagine anything better with these colors. That owl looks like such a character and those dots and pattern on the pumpkin give this such a warm, homespun feel.
